Sunderland will visit Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals following Wednesday’s draw.

Régis Le Bris’ side advanced thanks to a 3-2 win over Brentford at the Stadium of Light, with Chemsdine Talbi, Ivan Tutierov and Malick Fofana on target. According to Sunderland Echo, the tie is slated for the week commencing Monday, 14 December 2026 at Selhurst Park, with date, kick-off and TV picks still to be confirmed.

Jocelin Ta Bi impressed in a much-changed line-up, contributing to all three goals. The display offered a lift after a challenging start to the Premier League campaign.

Should Sunderland progress, the semi-finals will be played over two legs in the weeks beginning 11 January and 1 February 2027. The final is scheduled for Sunday, 21 March 2027 at Wembley.

Performance-related prize money begins at the last four. So far, Sunderland’s run has delivered a share of gate receipts and any broadcasting income. Losing semi-finalists receive £25,000, runners-up £50,000 and winners £100,000, so a quarter-final win would guarantee at least £25,000, alongside potential matchday and TV revenue.

The draw also produced Fleetwood Town vs Everton or Newcastle United, Manchester City vs Bradford City, and Liverpool vs Bournemouth.
