La Liga reports 17 incidents from Barcelona vs Real Madrid Clasico including assault on Camavinga

Real Madrid stormed back into the title race with a 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou.
However, the game also witnessed several incidents involving supporters. The celebrations following Kylian Mbappe’s winning goal were particularly controversial.
According to La Liga‘s official report, also highlighted by El Partidazo de COPE, the competition has referred 17 incidents from Sunday’s Clasico to the Spanish Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission.
Barcelona supporters reported for chants and assault on Camavinga
Of the 17 incidents documented, ten involved Barcelona supporters, including offensive chants directed towards Marc Cucurella, Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid and their fans.
The report identifies two occasions when sections of the home crowd chanted “Cucurella, son of a b****”, while other supporters directed insults towards Mourinho and Madrid.
More seriously, several Barcelona supporters threw bottles, cans, lighters and a vaping device towards the pitch during the celebrations following Mbappe’s second goal.

Although none of the objects struck Madrid’s players, the referee temporarily stopped the match for one minute and 20 seconds while a stadium announcement urged supporters to stop throwing objects.
La Liga also confirmed that a spectator from Barcelona’s Grada Gol 1957 struck Eduardo Camavinga with a flag during the celebrations.
Real Madrid supporters also mentioned in La Liga report
Barcelona’s security staff subsequently identified the individual responsible for striking Camavinga, with the club preparing to expel the supporter under its internal regulations.
Meanwhile, the remaining seven incidents involved travelling Real Madrid supporters, who repeatedly directed an offensive chant at Barcelona.
Importantly, La Liga clarified that the incidents involving home supporters were concentrated in specific sections of the stadium, with the remaining Barcelona fans behaving appropriately.

For Madrid, the most concerning aspect remains the incident involving Camavinga. Players must be able to celebrate goals without facing physical aggression from spectators.
Despite the intensity of the rivalry, attacking someone with a pole during a goal celebration is not warranted.
The governing bodies will now assess the complaints and determine whether disciplinary sanctions are necessary.
While Madrid can take satisfaction from their victory and the gap in La Liga being reduced to three points, these incidents do not make for great viewing, and it remains to be seen how the committees respond.
