Bukayo Saka has delivered Arsenal a huge blow and could be out until December with a thigh injury sustained in the Gunners' draw at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Saka is undergoing further scans on the injury which will determine the exact lay-off but Arsenal are already resigned to Saka being out for several weeks.

The England star will also miss the Three Lions' Nations League fixtures next month including the group decider in Spain on November 15 after another massive setback.

Incredibly, this is Saka’s 11th injury since September 2024 and is a huge blow for Arsenal’s title defence and Champions League games as he will be sweating on being ready to face Real Madrid at the Emirates on December 9.

To get it, it's a quick and easy one-two:

1. Head THIS WAY

He will definitely miss the Gunners' trip to Anfield on November 1. Manchester City travel to the Emirates on November 29 and it's the north London derby at Tottenham a week later.

Arteta said: “When a player has to walk off the pitch, he is struggling to walk without any pain, he's restricted to movement, they are not good signs.

“He's got another MRI this afternoon because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area so it was difficult to understand the extent of the injury. We will know more probably tomorrow."

Arteta insisted he does not fear that Saka is suffering from burnout but admits that he has become a “different” player and he may be in danger of losing some of his robustness.

Arteta said: “Well, it's certainly been different in the last year or so. Obviously the demands that we are putting to every player are immense.

“The amount of games, the intensity of those matches, the international competitions, the times as well between games are getting narrower.

“So look at us now, we have to play on Sunday afternoon, then we have to go away, we have to play on Wednesday evening, then we have to play on Saturday. So you go less than 66, 67 hours between games.

“On top of everything that we are putting, every hour is important. If they can support all the demands that we are putting to the players in that sense, that would be as well really appreciated from everybody.

“And I'm saying for every team as well, because we know what we are demanding from those players."
