LAS VEGAS

– A productive performance from the second unit and an efficient team shooting effort propelled the Toronto Raptors to a 102-89 win over the Houston Rockets in Summer League play on Saturday.

Seth Lundy led the Raptors with 23 points, and Tyreke Key poured in 19 points to pace a second unit that enjoyed a 45-24 scoring edge.

A competitive first quarter culminated with the Rockets clinging to a narrow 21-19 lead, but the Raptors turned the tide by erasing their deficit and building a 10-point advantage going into halftime.

After the two teams essentially matched each other point for point in the third, Houston would get as close as within five with 5:42 remaining before Toronto sealed the win with a game-ending 16-8 run.

Toronto’s Jamarion Sharp posted 17 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Nimari Burnett scored 14 points. Rookie first-round pick Allen Graves turned in nine points on 57.1 percent shooting.

The Rockets were led by Tristen Newton, who managed 18 points, four rebounds and two steals.

Rookie second-round pick Bruce Thornton had a second straight productive night, registering 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and a game-high five steals.

Daishen Nix and Isaiah Crawford generated matching 16-point contributions while also recording three and four rebounds, respectively.
