Al Hilal complete Ollie Watkins signing from Aston Villa on three-year deal

Al Hilal have completed the signing of Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa on a three-year contract.

The 2023-24 Roshn Saudi League champions confirmed the move on Sunday night, according to spl.com.sa.

The England international, 30, joins after six years at Villa, becoming the club’s all-time Premier League scorer with 91 goals.

Last season he helped the Midlands side win the UEFA Europa League, the club’s first European trophy in 44 years.

He has made 24 appearances for England and featured at the 2024 UEFA European Championship and the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer.

At Al Hilal, he links up with fellow new foreign recruit Crysencio Summerville, who arrived last month from West Ham United.

Watkins is expected to train on Sunday night ahead of Tuesday’s home meeting with Al Ahli.

Runners-up last year, Al Hilal have opened the 2026-27 RSL with three wins from three, scoring 12 goals.
