Alex Scott has turned down a new Bournemouth deal as the likes of Manchester United circle - but the Cherries stance is set to remain the same.

Scott has received a number of offers since discussions began towards the end of the season, but the Bournemouth midfielder has indicated he is not currently willing to agree new terms, reports Sky Sports .

The 22-year-old has entered the final two years of his deal but the Cherries don't want to sell the Englishman and have rejected enquiries for his signature. As well as the Red Devils; Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked.

Bournemouth expect Scott to remain their player next season regardless of whether he signs a new deal or continues to run down his contract.

The club, who have just secured European qualification for the first time, have adopted a firm stance as they bid to keep their best players, which also includes Junior Kroupi and winger Rayan, who have attracted plenty of interest.

Scott's stock continued to rise throughout last season and he was selected in his first England squad last November and was then called up into Thomas Tuchel's extended pre-World Cup training camp in Florida.

United are the club most heavily linked with the Bournemouth star given their desire to add to their midfield ranks. They've also prioritised adding Premier League-proven talent, but reports claim their attention has shifted to Manu Kone, the Roma midfielder who was hugely impressive for France at the World Cup.

Scott joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023 for £25m and they would be able to demand a fee that far exceeds that if they did want to cash in. In recent years the Cherries have been prepared to sell their top assets for huge profits, but are determined to retain them this summer.

Midway through last season they sold Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City for £65m. That came after a summer where they cashed in on Milos Kerkez, who headed for Liverpool , and Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid .
