Manchester United have confirmed the signing of
Andrey Santos
from
Chelsea
on Monday afternoon, the 22-year-old arriving to bolster their midfield.
According to The Athletic, the deal is worth around €56m. The Brazil international has six caps and made only 25 starts in 43 appearances for
, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
Santos spent one and a half seasons on loan at Strasbourg, from February 2024 to June 2025, and intermittently wore the captain’s armband.
First called up by Brazil in March 2023, he did not feature at the World Cup. He will play in the Champions League with United after they finished third in the Premier League last season.
A probable arrival of Belgian Youri Tielemans is also mentioned. He shone at the World Cup, but Belgium were knocked out by Spain in the quarter-finals, 1-2, and he was injured in the warm-up so could not take part in that match.
