Arsenal discover 2026/27 Premier League title verdict as supercomputer predicts full table

Arsenal are looking to get off to the perfect start against Coventry City and the latest supercomputer prediction makes for great reading

Arsenal will successfully defend their Premier League crown, according to a supercomputer. The Gunners have been predicted to hold off Manchester City for a second successive season and retain their place at the summit of English football by three points.

Mikel Arteta's side have been touted to have another gruelling title race with City, who will be looking to enjoy a smooth transition from Pep Guardiola to Enzo Maresca.

But the former Leicester City and Chelsea boss has been tipped to endure a disappointing debut season in Greater Manchester as their 85-point haul will not be enough, according to a supercomputer conducted by Compare.bet.

Arsenal are said to have a 45 percent chance of winning the Premier League title, seven percent higher than City. Liverpool, under new head coach Andoni Iraola, are tipped to finish third but some nine points behind City and 14 points behind eventual winners Arsenal.

The Reds, who won the Premier League in 2025, are predicted to enjoy a better season than Arne Slot's final campaign but the Basque isn't expected to replicate the debut campaign success of his predecessor.

Chelsea have been tipped to complete the top four, finishing four points behind Liverpool. Although it remains if they will be the only four Champions League places up for grabs with five being enough for qualification for the elite European competition last term.

Aston Villa have been tipped to finish just outside the top four but ahead of Manchester United, who have enjoyed a summer splurge thus far, as Michael Carrick has been touted to fail to replicate the success from his new manager bounce which earned him the post on a permanent basis.

The Red Devils are said to finish four points behind Villa and seven off Chelsea in the hunt for Champions League football. United are having to face the prospect of competing on all four fronts after having free midweeks due to their lack of European action.

Arsenal's North London rivals Spurs are expected to just creep into the top half of the table with 57 points in Roberto De Zerbi's first full season.

The Italian has enjoyed a busy summer of transfers and while the influx of additions will be enough to avoid another relegation battle, the supercomputer has suggested it won't be enough to mount a European challenge as they've been tipped to finish 10 points off fifth-placed Aston Villa.

All three of the newly promoted teams have been tipped to immediately slip back into the second tier. Regis Le Bris' Sunderland have been predicted to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth, finishing three points clear of Ipswich Town.

Coventry City, who Arsenal host on the opening day of the season, are expected to muster 27 points, eight more than playoff winners Hull City.

The supercomputer has predicted that the Tigers will accumulate one of the lowest points totals in history with just 19, level with Sunderland in 2003 and Portsmouth in 2010.
