Arsenal, Man Utd and Aston Villa in three-way battle for duo – latest transfer reports

Manchester United and Arsenal are among several clubs keen on Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys, according to reports.

The Sun say Seys is also attracting interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle, Benfica and Porto.

Villa, United and Arsenal are all said to have submitted enquiries to Club Brugge over the 21-year-old but the report adds that the Belgian side are in no rush to sell.

The three English sides are also said to be targeting another young star in Leicester City’s Louis Page.

But United appear to be leading the race for the 18-year-old, with BBC Sport reporting that talks about a deal are already underway.

Elsewhere, Newcastle’s move for Pierre Emile Hojbjerg is said to be off for now, according to Sky Sports.

The Magpies had been keen to sign the Denmark international following the departure of Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal, but it now looks unlikely to happen.

Another midfield target for Newcastle is former Fulham and Spurs man Joao Palhinha.

Sky Sports are also reporting that Atletico Madrid are getting closer to signing Spurs defender Cristian Romero, though around a £5m gap in valuation still exists at present.

Crystal Palace are in talks with Union Saint-Gilloise to sign right-sided player Anan Khalaili.

And West Ham have had a bid turned down for AZ Alkmaar striker Troy Parrott and are also keen on Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson.
