Arsenal are said to be holding advanced discussions with the representatives of Morgan Rogers . It comes as Mikel Arteta's side look to secure their 'top target' in the coming weeks.
The Gunners are making waves in the summer transfer window, with a £34million deal for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis in motion as they look to bolster their attacking options. Arsenal will look to kick-start their Premier League title defence next month, but Arteta has made it clear he is searching for reinforcement in particular areas of the pitch ahead of kick-off.
Rogers is thought to be a particularly admired talent, with Andrea Berta reportedly making the Aston Villa forward a priority signing this summer. With Tzolis seemingly wrapped up, Fabrizio Romano now claims that Arsenal will kick on with their pursuit of Rogers.
Negotiations are also claimed the be at an 'advanced stage' within the 23-year-old's camp. However, Villa are determined to retain their talisman for the new season, with Champions League football on the horizon for 2026/26.
Rogers has played his cards close to his chest over his future, with some reports suggesting Villa are holding firm for a British-transfer record fee of £130m.
"I'm not sure I'm worth all of that!" he said when quizzed about the reported valuation, adding: "Of course it's nice to hear that from people.
"But I don't let outside noise dictate me. I'm just going to keep focused, keep being me, keep being the person that got me here and keep trying to improve. I don't really listen to stuff like that."
