Xabi Alonso can be successful playing “crazy” football - because their front three can outscore everybody.

That is the view of Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato who admits they want to tighten up at the back but they have got the fire power to challenge for trophies.

Chelsea have been the Premier League ’s great entertainers this season as they put three past Fulham, four past Brighton but have conceded five in the process.

Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers look electric going forward and Chelsea boss Alonso has thrown off the shackles to play open, attacking football.

The Blues will face a big test of their title credentials when they go to reigning champions Arsenal next Sunday but Hato says Chelsea’s front three will be a match for anyone.

1. Head THIS WAY

Hato said: “They are right up there. We'll see at the end of the season who's the best. We know when we get the ball, we are very, very dangerous up front.

“We try to improve to not concede three goals. But we know we are very dangerous at the point that we will score goals.

“We're happy with the win. Crazy, and we scored a lot of goals. We scored a lot of goals, but we conceded three goals. I think there's something we can work on.

“However, if you concede three and score four, you actually did a good job in winning the game. So I'm happy about that.

“It still matters, I think, because we want to win four zero, not four three. But yeah, still, if they score three and he scores four, you did a good job.

"The front three have been very good. I think they can find each other really well. They have a great connection. It's very important to have those guys up front. We think we are very dangerous with attackers on the bench as well. So this is something positive.

“There's a lot of movement. When we get the ball, once in the eye and coming into the ball, I think the connection between those three.”

Hato believes that former Liverpool and Real Madrid star Alonso has brought an aura and experience to Chelsea.

Alonso was known as being tactical and methodical at Bayer Leverkusen but is blessed with great attacking players at Chelsea.

They will face a major test at the Emirates next Sunday but Hato says the Chelsea players have set their own targets and are so far on course - but hungry for more.

Hato added: “The manager has that experience as a player. I think as a manager as well at Liverpool and Madrid. He is calm. Has experience and he knows the game.

“He played in the Premier League as well, and I think he brings it over to us on a good level. And especially the way we perform.

“We look at it game by game. I think we had a great start. We spoke with each other and said, the first week, three games, that's to be three wins, and we did that. So now we're looking forward to Arsenal.

“I think playing against Arsenal is a good test. I think it was against Fulham and Brighton as well, and they are both great teams. We won those games.”
