Cole Palmer seals Chelsea future as club confirm huge update

Cole Palmer has put pen to paper on a new deal with Chelsea with improved terms that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2034. The England international was already under contract until 2033 but has now extended his stay by a further 12 months.
The Blues have also offered Palmer improved terms, underlining his importance to the club and their plans for the future. Chelsea announced the news by sharing a video of Palmer 'streaming' on Twitch where he confirmed he would be staying at Stamford Bridge for another eight years.
"Well, I just signed a new contract about 20 minutes ago, so I'm staying for eight more years," Palmer replied to a fan when asked how long he would be staying at the club.
"So hopefully we can sing that song a little bit more that yous sing. Yeah, new contract. We've got a new contract announcement on stream.
"Eight more years, it's the song you all sing at Stamford Bridge for so long. I thought I'd share it with the chat, why not? That's me guys.
"I'm really happy to sign a new contract and share with you guys and I look forward to eight more years. In a bit."
Speaking separately to Chelsea's official website, Palmer added: "Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I'm delighted to sign and I’m obviously very happy.
"Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence so it was only right to sign. Speaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions.
"I feel like we win major trophies here consistently and I want to be a part of that and play a big role in it too."
Chelsea then followed up the announcement with an official statement that read: "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that Cole Palmer has signed a new contract until 2034. Since joining the Blues in August 2023, Palmer has established himself as one of the world’s finest attacking players.
"He has provided 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances, won the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League, while claiming an array of individual awards. The 24-year-old has also made history on the international stage, becoming only the second England player to score in a European Championship final when he netted against Spain at Euro 2024.

"And on the biggest stages, Palmer made his mark. He claimed two assists in our UEFA Conference League win over Real Betis, and later in the summer of 2025, scored twice and assisted Joao Pedro in our FIFA Club World Cup final win over Paris Saint-Germain. Last term, there were 14 further goal involvements, including a strike against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and yet another hat-trick, this time away to Wolves."
Palmer is the latest Chelsea star to commit his future to the club, joining Reece James, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto in signing new deals at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer to sing Palmer's chant, with the playmaker set to miss Chelsea's Premier League clash with Bournemouth this afternoon (Saturday) due to an ongoing groin injury.
