Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have set a world record for the longest top-flight scoring run after a 1-1 draw with Al-Khaleej. A 72nd-minute equaliser from 27-year-old forward Abdullah Al-Hamdan extended their streak to 94 Saudi Pro League matches, surpassing River Plate's 93 from 1936 to 1939.
Sports.ndtv.com notes that it marks another milestone in Ronaldo's career, with the forward captaining Al-Nassr throughout the sequence.
He joined the club in 2023 and has played 113 Saudi Pro League games, scoring 105 goals.
No club side has recorded a longer run of consecutive league matches with at least one goal.
The sequence began after a 3-0 defeat to rivals Al-Hilal in December 2023, then a 4-1 win over Al-Riyadh kick-started it.
Al-Nassr could not mark the record with victory, dropping points to opponents just above the relegation zone. The result left them third, two points behind Al-Hilal and one behind Al-Ittihad.
Ronaldo previously spearheaded a Real Madrid team that scored in 73 straight games between April 2016 and September 2017, a record across all competitions rather than the league alone.
The 41-year-old has hinted the ongoing 2026-27 season could be his last in professional football. He is chasing 1,000 official goals and currently sits on 979.
