Daniel Farke cautiously optimistic as Leeds United chase final-week additions

Daniel Farke is cautiously optimistic of late additions, with attack and left-back still to address.

Jaka Bijol was solid in the 1-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday. On Tuesday, debutant Nico Elvedi impressed in the League Cup against the same opponents, and Joe Rodon denied Chris Wood with a last-ditch tackle.

Elvedi, Harry Wilson, James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic have arrived, with about £80m spent and a net outlay of £50m. Wilson, Trafford and Muharemovic have already made an impact.

Centre-back depth remains a consideration, with four senior natural options available. James Justin can cover on the right of defence, though not a specialist, and is also used at wing-back. Farke said all have delivered, but doubts four alone will suffice over a long campaign and wants Wilfried Gnonto, Gabi Gudmundsson and Ilia Gruev back from injury.
