Dilane Bakwa set to join Lille on season-long loan

According to NY Times, Dilane Bakwa is set to return to France, with Lille close to agreeing a season-long loan with Nottingham Forest.
The 23-year-old arrived at the City Ground in September last year in a €35 million, £29.3m, move from Strasbourg, and Forest believed they had secured one of Europe’s standout prospects.
He has struggled to impose himself, making only six Premier League starts and eight outings from the bench. In Europe he featured eight times, including three starts.
Having scored 10 goals in 64 league games for Strasbourg, Bakwa did not find the net for Forest during a campaign that featured four different managers. With Oliver Glasner favouring a 3-4-2-1, opportunities for a natural winger might again have been limited.
Lille, coached by Davide Ancelotti, the son of Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti, opened Ligue 1 with a win at Angers on Sunday. Forest face Leeds United in the Carabao Cup second round on Tuesday, then visit Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
