Roberto De Zerbi’s side still winless with season three weeks old

Tottenham will continue their quest for a first goal of the Premier League season as they host Everton this afternoon.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men have been held goalless by Brentford, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest so far in the campaign, leaving them a familiar 17th in the table.

They will be keen to get a first win of the season on the board today, though, as David Moyes’ Toffees make the long journey down to north London.

They will be no pushovers, though. A frustrating summer window has left them with a scant squad and an ‘us against the world’ attitude, which has them unbeaten so far this season.

Last weekend’s rousing 2-2 draw with Manchester United, settled by two stunning strikes from Tyrique George and Ainsley Maitland-Niles will have them high on confidence ahead of this match, and that mood will only be bolstered by the news of Jack Grealish’s readiness to start.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s injury woes have continued with the Deadline Day loan signing Mykhailo Mudryk unavailable for at least six weeks with an ankle problem.
