Jordan Henderson completes Chelsea move

Chelsea have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Jordan Henderson on a two-year deal.

The 36-year-old joins the Blues after leaving Brentford while still having one year left on his contract after featuring 34 times for the club last season.

The former Ajax, Liverpool, and Sunderland man has now added experience to Xabi Alonso's team after signing until 2028, much like fellow new arrival Danny Welbeck.

"Given the size of the club, the manager, who I have great admiration for, and the quality of the players, this was a huge opportunity I couldn’t turn down," Henderson said on his unveiling.

"I was also so impressed with how much the ownership want Chelsea to be successful and move in the right direction.

"For me, it's about giving everything every single day, both on and off the field, to help the players around me and the team as much as possible. I'm very excited to get going."

This will be yet another season in the Premier League for Henderson who has featured 463 times in the top flight so far.
