Juventus ‘to offer’ Kessie two-year deal after agent talks
Juventus have met Franck Kessie’s representatives as they reshape midfield, while they look to miss out on Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee to Fiorentina. The Bianconeri remain a work in progress early in the new season.
Sky Sport Italia showed footage today of talks between Kessie’s camp and Juventus executives, including Frederic Massara and Giovanni Carnevali.
The former Atalanta and Milan midfielder is a free agent after three years with Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, and is keen on a Serie A return. Roma have also been linked. Juventus are reported to be leading with a two-year contract, with an option for a third, at €4.5m per season. There are also performance-related bonuses.
Juventus are making room in midfield by selling Fabio Miretti to Besiktas. He landed in Istanbul this afternoon and was greeted by fans.
Zirkzee had long been a target for Juventus, but Fiorentina are now in talks with the Manchester United striker over a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
