Lisandro Martinez suffered a double blow on Sunday evening as Argentina lost the

final to Spain after the

centre-back was forced off the pitch in the first half through injury.

The match pitted the reigning Copa America champions against the European champions, with Argentina having pulled off a stunning comeback victory over England in the semi-finals, while Spain comfortably dispatched the pre-tournament favourites, France.
