Lisandro Martínez, the Argentine center-back who was unable to complete the entire final due to injury and was substituted in the 44th minute, has been another of the players who, as the hours have passed, has taken to social media to express his feelings after the lost final against Spain, whom he congratulates on their "deserved title".

"With pain in my soul for not having been able to bring home the cup we all wanted, but with my pride on full display for this jersey, for my teammates, the coaching staff, the directors, the medical staff, the cooks, the kit men, and for every person who was involved in making all of this work in the best possible way. And, above all, for you, who sent us all your love, all your strength, that passion that characterizes us so much and the unity of a country that I hope endures over time.'
