Manchester United fans face the prospect of travel chaos after they were handed a 7pm kick-off on a Sunday in December following the latest TV picks.

Sky Sports and TNT Sports have just made their desired kick-offs known with the Premier League releasing the fixture list, and subsequent changes, for the early weeks of December.

United have been handed a nightmare clash against Crystal Palace on a Sunday night. Their game at Selhurst Park has been schedule for 7pm, an extremely rare kick-off time, and one that makes commuting back to the north west a major challenge.

Had supporters wanted to get the train to the capital and back then there hopes are all but over. The 7pm kick-off in south London means the game will finish at close to 9pm. The last train from Euston back to Manchester leaves at 8.53pm.

To get it, it's a quick and easy one-two:

1. Head THIS WAY

It means travelling fans will need to either drive back late at night or stay over in London, which would leave them needing to possibly take the Monday off work.

TNT Sports have the rights to the game, meaning it would normally have been shown at 12.30pm on the Saturday. However the Eagles face Jagiellonia in Poland on the Thursday that week, which has impacted their weekend game as they look to recover from their European outing.

Those from the red side of Manchester will also be back in the capital just seven days later when they face Arsenal at the Emirates. That is a 4.30pm kick-off on the Sunday before the Premier League embraces its festive fixture schedule.

United have their two games between Christmas and New Year at home. They play Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on December 27 before hosting Sunderland three days later.

United had been among the teams who urged Premier League officials and broadcasters to confirm December’s televised matches at the earliest possible date, so as to make planning for fans that bit easier.

The Christmas period is particularly difficult for match goers because of reduced public transport services, limited hotel availability and the demand for tickets.
