Man Utd news LIVE: JJ Gabriel deadline TODAY as two clubs prepare huge offers

Hello and welcome to Mirror Football's Manchester United live blog on Tuesday, October 6, which is JJ Gabriel's 16th birthday.
As a European Union passport holder, the player is now allowed to agree deals with clubs in EU countries, and Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in signing Gabriel. Manchester United could have signed the player to a pre-contract before he turned 16 today, but his camp did not open talks before requesting a move.
The forward has not featured for any of United's academy teams since scoring a hat-trick for the under-19s during their 5-0 win over Sabah in the UEFA Youth League. Gabriel has also not reported to Carrington since his representatives requested a move ahead of the club's Carabao Cup third-round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion, a match in which the teenager was expected to make his competitive first-team debut and become United's youngest-ever player in the process.
Gabriel's camp, however, wanted the teenager to debut in United's first Champions League match of this season against Sabah. However, the club did not include him in their squad submitted to UEFA, instead selecting him for their Youth League fixture against the Azerbaijan Premier League champions' under-19s.
JJ Gabriel's representatives wanted Michael Carrick to play the forward at least 20 minutes in three specific matches this autumn before opening talks over a scholarship deal.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, his camp wanted Gabriel to debut against Sabah in the Champions League. Their demands then included playing in the Carabao Cup third round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion and also featuring during the upcoming Premier League match with Bournemouth.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to offer JJ Gabriel an 'XXL' contract, according to Sky Germany.
Their interest is described as 'very concrete' with their extra, extra large packages due to comprise the player's salary as well as bonuses and a signing-on fee. However, there is interest from outside La Liga, too.

JJ Gabriel turned 16 today, which means the Manchester United academy player will soon be old enough to vote. However, more pertinently, with no general election on the horizon, for now, he can also agree deals with European Union clubs as an EU passport holder.
