Man Utd receive ‘concrete’ offer for ‘unstoppable’ star who lost his starting place under Carrick – Report
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is reportedly a target for Aston Villa, who have launched an attempt to sign him before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The 24-year-old has been on MUFC’s books since making the move from Atalanta in January 2021. He had positive loan spells at Sunderland and Rangers before rejoining the club’s ranks in 2023.
The Ivorian international cemented himself as a key player under Ruben Amorim, with his captain, Bruno Fernandes, describing him as an ‘unstoppable’ player following his late exploits in the victory over Manchester City in December 2024.

Following Michael Carrick’s appointment in January, Amad was no longer an automatic starter.
Under Amorim, the Ivorian shared the right flank with his teammate Bryan Mbeumo in the Portuguese manager’s 3-4-2-1 system, but they have been competing for a starting role in Carrick’s more traditional 4-2-3-1 formation.
Unsurprisingly, Amad has been linked with AC Milan earlier in the summer, with sources claiming that Amorim is eager to reunite with his old pupil. However, these rumours swiftly faded.
Nevertheless, Ivorian portal 225 Foot is now reporting keen interest from Aston Villa, claiming that the Europa League winners have submitted a ‘concrete offer’ for the player.
The Villans are expected to part ways with Leon Bailey, so they need to recruit a new right winger before the transfer window expires next week.
Why Man United shouldn’t entertain offers for Amad

Although he’s no longer guaranteed a starting role, Amad remains a vital player for Man Utd, whether he’s in the first XI or coming off the bench.
If Carrick deems him a backup for Mbeumo, then he couldn’t have asked for a more reliable second choice.
Moreover, the Ivorian international offers a different skill set than his Cameroonian teammate. While the former Brentford star relies on his explosive pace and brute force, the Atalanta academy product is more technical.

Hence, one could argue that Amad’s services were dearly missed on the opening day of the season, as Man Utd needed a little bit of flair to break Hull City’s packed defences, but went on to suffer a humbling 0-2 defeat.
However, Amad remains on the sidelines after suffering an injury, and some sources expect him to remain out for another month.
