Man Utd suffer second injury blow as star limps off after Fernandes issue

Patrick Dorgu was forced off the pitch during Denmark's Nations League clash with Wales on Sunday afternoon, sparking further injury worries for Manchester United. It comes after Bruno Fernandes found himself injured against the same nation while representing Portugal.
While Dorgu was selected to start on the left wing by Danish head coach, Brian Riemer, the 21-year-old lasted just 30 minutes of the encounter with the Red Dragons. The Red Devils talent was spotted falling to the turf in frustration before holding his leg, with Mohamed Daramy called upon to take his place.
Dorgu was also spotted limping as he made his way off the pitch, in what could be a cause for concern regarding not only Denmark - who have another two matches to play this international break - but also United. He is the second United player who has taken a knock during the current Premier League break.
Club captain, Fernandes, has joined Portugal on international duty, with his nation facing Wales earlier this week - running out 1-0 winners thanks to an early strike from Joao Felix. However, having picked up an injury during that encounter, he is now expected to miss Portugal's game with Norway on Sunday evening.
Head coach, Jorge Jesus, described the injury as a "complicated problem" when addressing the media in the aftermath of Portugal's Nations League opener. He said: "In the game against Wales, we went in with all the available players but Bruno Fernandes came off with a complicated problem."
He added: "He played with an injury he brought from Manchester United. He really wanted to play against Wales. He wasn’t at his usual level, we’ll see if he’s ready."
Jesus continued: "He said he’s been dealing with that pain for about three games, and that was one of the factors that prevented him from being at his usual level against Wales.
"He was my player, I know him perfectly. I’ve already spoken to him. I prefer not to risk him in this game and have him clean and in good physical condition for the Denmark game."

Michael Carrick will be hopeful that the injuries that Dorgu and Fernandes are currently carrying will have dissipated by the time they return to club football in a little under two weeks' time, considering United's current medical list.
Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo made the decision to snub England call-ups from Thomas Tuchel to prioritise their respective recoveries from minor knocks, while Benjamin Sesko also ruled himself out of representing Slovenia as a result of a leg problem.
Matthijs de Ligt has not represented the Red Devils since last November, owing to a back injury, while Manuel Ugarte is another long-term absentee through a knee injury sustained this summer. Tom Heaton, Karl Darlow and Amad Diallo are also sidelined at the moment.
