Manchester United Are Locked In A Three-Way Battle For This Talented Striker: Good Fit For Carrick?

In a recent report, Sport stated that Manchester United are locked in a three-way battle for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with Barcelona and Chelsea in the race to land the German centre-forward this month.

Tresoldi’s Impressive Form In Belgian Football

Tresoldi enjoyed a productive campaign at the Belgian club recently as he was responsible for putting in a series of impressive performances for them in the final third. The German talent scored 23 times and picked up nine assists in 58 matches for Club Brugge last season in multiple competitions.

The 22-year-old is currently among the best centre-forwards in the Jupiler Pro League. Hence, Man United would do well to get a deal done for him in this transfer window.

His current contract at Club Brugge will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to land him on the cheap this month.

Will Tresoldi Be A Good Fit For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?

Tresoldi is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has proven his worth as a prolific goal-scorer in the final third and can even engineer some promising chances for his teammates in the final third.

The Belgian talent is also clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty area. Standing at 1.86m, Tresoldi is a strong presence in the air as well. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board this month.

We can expect Tresoldi to bring more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.

At 22, Tresoldi has the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. However, Carrick would have to give him some time to adjust to life in England. Still, Tresoldi would be a great fit for Man United’s needs in the long run.
