Manchester United Are Preparing A €30m Move For This Barcelona Full-Back: Good Choice For Carrick?

In a recent report (via Defensa Central), journalist PacoJo Delgado claimed that Manchester United are preparing a €30m move for Barcelona full-back Alejandro Balde. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eager to land the Spanish club in this transfer window.

Balde’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Balde enjoyed a good run of form at the Spanish club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of impressive displays for them in La Liga. The Spanish sensation picked up three goals in 42 appearances for Barcelona last season in multiple competitions.

The 22-year-old is currently one of the most talented full-backs in La Liga. Hence, Man United would do well to lure him to Old Trafford before the end of this month.

His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.

Will Balde Be A Good Choice For Manchester United?

Balde is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually clears the danger when needed and is a tidy passer as well.

The Spanish talent can even deliver some decent crosses into the opponent’s penalty area. Balde can even chip in by picking up a few important assists for his team. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to sign him before the end of this month.

We can expect Balde to add more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming years.

At 22, Balde has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Hence, he would be a great choice for Man United to consider in this transfer period. However, Carrick has to be patient with his development before he can get the best out of him at the Mancunian club.
