Manchester United Could Move In For This Newcastle United Left-Back Next Summer: Good Fit For Carrick?

In a recent report, The Sun claimed that Manchester United could move in for Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall next summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils could return for the English defender in 2027 after failing to sign him in the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Hall’s Good Form In English Football Last Season

Hall enjoyed a good run of form at the Tyneside club in the previous campaign when he put in a handful of impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 21-year-old scored one goal and grabbed a couple of assists in 47 matches for Newcastle last season across all fronts.

The English talent is currently among the most talented full-backs in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils were hoping to land him earlier this summer.

His current contract at St. James’ Park will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to sign him on the cheap next year.

Will Hall Be A Good Fit For Manchester United?

Hall loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a good crosser as well.

The English talent is full of energy and running on the left flank. Hall is primarily a left-back but can also serve as a central midfielder or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man United if they manage to get him on board in 2027.

We can expect Hall to inject more quality and depth into Michael Carrick’s backline in the long run. He is good enough to compete with Luke Shaw for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford.

At 21, the future looks quite bright for Hall as long as he continues to improve with each year. He will also help the Red Devils compete across all competitions over the next few years. All in all, Hall would be a great fit for Man United‘s needs next summer.
