Manchester United Identify This Borussia Dortmund Ace As A Target: What Will He Bring To Old Trafford?

In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Manchester United have identified Borussia Dortmund ace Serhou Guirassy as a target. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Guinean striker next year.

Guirassy’s Impressive Numbers In The Bundesliga

Guirassy enjoyed a good run of form at the German club in the previous campaign when he produced a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Guinean centre-forward banged in 22 goals and grabbed six assists in 46 matches for Borussia Dortmund last season on all fronts.

The 30-year-old is currently among the most talented strikers in the Bundesliga. Hence, it is no wonder that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting him in 2027.

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could open the door for Man United to sign him on the cheap at the end of this campaign.

What Will Guirassy Bring To Manchester United?

Guirassy is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Guinean talent can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. Standing at 1.87m, Guirassy is a strong presence in the air as well. However, it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board next year.

We can expect Guirassy to bring more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford over the next few years.

At 30, Guirassy is still playing in his prime and would be a real asset for the Red Devils in the short term. He will also help Man United compete across all competitions in the coming seasons. Thus, Carrick should focus on getting him on board this January or next summer.
