Mastantuono Eyes Bellingham Void at Real Madrid

According to a report from MARCA , it has come to light that Real Madrid’s newest young signing, Franco Mastantuono, is aiming to hit the ground running and take advantage of Jude Bellingham’s absence to quickly earn Xabi Alonso’s trust.

With Bellingham out until at least October following shoulder surgery, the door is open for someone to step up and Mastantuono wants that someone to be him.

It is to be noted that the Argentine wonderkid is set to arrive in Madrid this weekend to officially begin his journey as a Real Madrid player.

However, due to being underage, he won’t be able to join first-team training until August 14 , when he turns 18.

Despite this brief delay, Mastantuono is eager to break the trend of recent young signings who had to wait patiently for their chances.

While players like Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz are expected to fill the gap left by Bellingham in the early weeks of the season, Mastantuono is determined to make an impression from day one.

He doesn’t want to follow the usual slow path to the top. Instead, he aims to replicate the rapid rise of Bellingham himself, who made an instant impact at the club.

Bellingham recently underwent surgery on a shoulder injury and is likely to be sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks.

That means he will miss the first two months of the 2025/26 campaign, creating a valuable opportunity for Mastantuono to stake his claim.

Real Madrid fans are eager to see what the highly rated teenager can bring to the table. And with the club entering a new era under Alonso, Mastantuono’s ambition, timing, and talent might just be what he needs to leap ahead in the pecking order.
