Milan closing in on Nottingham Forest’s Omari Hutchinson

Serie A side Milan are in the hunt to land a replacement for Rafael Leao as soon as they can and are making key progress in a move for Nottingham Forest’s Omari Hutchinson.

The winger played his first season with the Tricky Trees in the 2025/26 campaign and it was his second experience in the Premier League, having done well with Ipswich Town in the past too.

Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that contacts between the two clubs are accelerating and things are heading in a positive direction too.

It is expected to be an initial loan deal with an option to buy, with the player also interested. This could become an obligation to buy, if certain conditions are met. Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ possible go-ahead is yet to arrive but Milan are confident this wouldn’t be a problem for them.

Hutchinson’s raw talent has now been seen at two English clubs and Milan could be a step which brings more out of him.

Under Ruben Amorim, the Rossoneri keep more of the ball and this could play into the Englishman’s strengths, as it will allow him to complete more take-ons and dribbles in the final third.
