Mourinho embarrassed and Vinicius Jr sent off in incredible Real Madrid hair pull drama

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior was shown a red card for an audacious hair pull and had a goal ruled out in the process. The Brazilian winger looked to have silenced his haters after getting on the scoresheet, having been booed onto the pitch by Villarreal supporters.
Vinicius entered the fray early in the second half before getting on the scoresheet after 72 minutes. Jubilant scenes followed as the Brazilian enthusiastically celebrated with Jude Bellingham and boss Jose Mourinho.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager had even gone racing down the sideline, such was his joy. Both his and Vinicius' moods soon changed as VAR intervened and fury emerged.

To get it, it's a quick and easy one-two:
1. Head THIS WAY
The video assistant referee spotted the 26-year-old pulling the hair of Villarreal ace Nathan Saliba as he raced into the opposition half, while Bellingham was in possession of the ball out wide. The England international ultimately provided his team-mate with the ball to double Los Blancos' lead but it was all for nought.
Instead of adding to his goal tally, Vinicius was eventually given his marching orders, provoking a furious reaction as he practically chased referee Isidro Díaz de Mer before leaving the field. It marked the first time VAR had overturned a goal and provided a red card simultaneously
The decision meant that Real were required to defend a one-goal lead with 10 men, which they managed successfully. Yann Diomande made the important contribution after the summer signing started ahead of Vinicius.

Real Madrid TV has already broadcast their frustration with the referee's performance. "You can call it a foul by Vinicius, but the problem arises when this VAR referee hasn't called for the red card shown to Carlos Romero in the match against Espanyol for two seasons," says Real Madrid TV.
Referee Pablo González Fuertes revealed that his colleague made the right decision to send off the Real Madrid star, however. Speaking on Radio Marca, He said: ""A correct sending-off because it was a very blatant hair-pull on Saliba.
"It was violent conduct on the part of the Real Madrid forward. And, logically, the goal was correctly disallowed."
Depending on the referee's report, Vinicius could now miss the Clasico against Barcelona in two weeks.
