Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade set for Juventus medical on Tuesday
Serie A side Juventus have been pursuing a move for another striker in the last few days and a deal for Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade has quickly progressed.
Get Italian Football News covered how Juve had almost reached an agreement with the Magpies over a dry loan deal. But the player’s green light for the transfer was still missing.
Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported with certainty that Woltemade will definitely be a Juve player. An agreement between the Old Lady and Newcastle United has been reached, with the German now also having expressed his approval to the transfer.
The striker will arrive in Italy tomorrow and undergo his medical, as Juve look to solve the attacking issue, with Jonathan David on his way to Atletico Madrid.
Woltemade will join them on a dry loan deal. Newcastle United’s willingness to be open to a deal such as this one gave Juve hope of moving for the Germany international, with Manchester United having expressed the demand for more guarantees in letting Joshua Zirkzee depart.
The transfer, for Woltemade, will be very important. He has the chance to make a mark once again after a frustrating season with the Magpies. Initially, he may not be a regular upfront but his arrival allows Luciano Spalletti the chance to experiment more, as Woltemade can also play as a number ten.
