Piers Morgan reignites Jamie Carragher row with brutal comment on live TV - 'Big baby'

Piers Morgan has slammed Jamie Carragher as a 'big baby' in another dig at the Liverpool icon. The pair have been wrapped up in a bitter social media row over recent days.
Carragher had hit out at Morgan for his 'embarrassing' defence of Cristiano Ronaldo following his Portugal walkout.
With the dust now settled, Morgan reignited the feud by bringing it up on his Football Uncensored show. He said: "Jamie Carragher and I had an interesting little spat at the weekend fuelled by Carragher saying that Rio Ferdinand and I had been embarrassing defending Cristiano Ronaldo because we’re friends of his.
"And Carragher, as we might remember, got pied live on Sky by Ronaldo, who refused to even acknowledge his existence which might be why he’s being such a big baby about it."

Colleague Simon Jordan said: "Why did Jamie get pied by Ronaldo? I’ll tell you why. Because he made critical observations and the reasons why you get into a rather unsightly and I would say beneath you spat with Jamie Carragher, although I don’t think anything is actually beneath you."
As Morgan attempted to compare his followers on social media to Carragher's, Jordan added: "What are you, 12? You know the followers, half of them dislike you intensely and half of them like you. You’re in that fabulous position of being a marmite which is the exact way you want to be."
In an attempt to mock Morgan, Jordan then added: "Who do I know who's got loads of followers? I know, Ronaldo, and I’ll be his best mate," to which Morgan asked: "Are you cynically suggesting I exploit our friendship for followers?"
Morgan’s latest outburst comes after he hit out on social media following Carragher’s comments. He wrote: "So, @Carra23 dislikes me (and @rioferdy5) sticking up for our friend @Cristiano, or as he puts it ‘defending the indefensible.’ Here is the same Jamie Carragher supporting his friend Luis Suarez after he racially abused Patrice Evra."

He added: "But when it comes to 'defending the indefensible', I do admit I have sometimes done that @Carra23." Morgan then pointed to one of his tweets in 2018 which read: "Jamie Carragher was stupid to spit at that car, but no more stupid than the father was to be filming Carragher as he drove his daughter. So I hope @Carra23 keeps his job.
"He’s a great pundit, has apologised profusely for what he did - and his victim behaved badly too."
Carragher made sure he had his say as he replied: "We as a team did support our teammate and we were wrong. I apologised to Patrice on tv years ago, which then prompted Liverpool to send him a letter also apologising which was the right thing to do.
"Your reaction to my slight criticism saying you & Rio are in bed with Ronaldo so it clouds your judgement when speaking about him is embarrassing. You batter people every day, when it’s the other way you storm out of a tv studio or get personal. All to get another interview you sycophant."
On his spitting incident, Carragher added: "Yes I remember, I contacted you to say I appreciated your support, you then tried to get me on your tv show to talk about it, so my appreciation waned a bit as I knew it wasn’t as sincere as I first thought.
"It was all about an interview, as is your possessive fawning over Ronaldo & Trump. I also wouldn’t be getting personal with your history or the other two you’re defending, now that would be defending the indefensible."
In the meantime, he also shared an image of one of Morgan's newspaper columns where he slammed Ronaldo as a 'spoilt brat'. Alongside that, Carragher wrote: "What an absolute phoney you are."
Morgan ended up having the final word as he shared a selfie of the pair and wrote: "Mate, I even did a fan selfie for you recently to boost your profile…show a little gratitude!"
