Premier League 2026/27: How to watch, get tickets and every opening weekend fixture

The World Cup is over and the Premier League is almost back. The 2026/27 season kicks off on Friday, August 21, with all 20 clubs in action across a mouth-watering opening weekend that runs through to Monday, August 24.

The new campaign arrives with a new-look managerial landscape at several of the division's biggest clubs. Liverpool , Manchester City and Chelsea will all be led by new faces, with Andoni Iraola, Enzo Maresca and Xabi Alonso taking charge respectively, and all three sides face stern early tests.

Title holders Arsenal get the season under way when they host Championship winners Coventry City on Friday evening, while newly-promoted Hull City face a baptism of fire when they welcome Manchester City in one of the weekend's most eye-catching clashes.

The 2026/27 Premier League season will begin on Friday, August 21. All 20 teams will be in action across the opening weekend through to Monday, August 24.

Sky Sports remains the home of Premier League football in the UK, with at least 215 games set to air live and exclusively throughout the season. Sky has already confirmed it will broadcast six fixtures across the opening weekend, including Arsenal vs Coventry City, Manchester City vs Bournemouth and Newcastle United vs Liverpool.

To watch these games and the many others on Sky throughout the season, fans will need a Sky Sports subscription. This is included as part of select Sky packages, such as the £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which also comes with free subscriptions to Netflix , HBO Max and Disney+. Existing Sky TV customers can add Sky Sports to their package from £20 per month, though most Sky packages require 24-month contracts, during which time the price may change.

TNT Sports will also show select Premier League games on TV and its new streaming home of HBO Max. TNT usually has the broadcast rights to one fixture each gameweek, with Hull vs Man United the first to be shown next season.

Fans will need a separate TNT Sports subscription to watch its coverage, which costs £30.99 via HBO Max or Prime Video’s TNT Sports channel .

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.

Premier League clubs will handle their own allocation of tickets for home and away games, with match tickets and season tickets available directly from the respective box office. However, fans can still book a seat to watch their favourite team through other official channels such as Seat Unique .

This retailer provides a range of VIP and hospitality packages at 13 Premier League clubs, including Man United , Arsenal and Liverpool . Prices vary from game to game and can fluctuate depending on several factors, with the most popular fixtures like local derbies commanding the highest price tags.

However, these perks vary between clubs, so fans are advised to check exactly what is included before booking.

There are some caveats worth noting. Certain packages provide access to neutral hospitality zones where rival supporters may be present. Additionally, single tickets are not available for some packages, which must be booked in groups.
