Real Madrid fans point finger of blame at José Mourinho after derby defeat to Atlético

Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday flooded to social media, to take aim at head coach José Mourinho. This comes fresh off another blow for Los Blancos early in the Spanish top-flight title race.
Real marked their return to action a short time ago, making the short trip across the capital for the first Madrid Derby of the campaign.
The visitors headed into proceedings aware that they could scarcely afford a defeat, already six points adrift of arch rivals Barcelona atop the table.
But as alluded to above, when all was said and done, defeat is precisely what Real Madrid were condemned to.
The game’s pivotal moment came early in the 2nd-half, upon Dean Huijsen being given his marching orders, and hosts Atlético being afforded a penalty.
From here, Alejandro Grimaldo dispatched from 12 yards, before another Atléti summer signing, in Jonathan David, put Diego Simeone’s men two goals to the good just shy of the hour mark.
The visitors did manage to pull one back through Antonio Rüdiger late on, but it proved to be little more than a consolation on an evening to forget for all of a Real Madrid persuasion.
And as alluded to above, in the time since, the Blancos faithful have not been at all shy in pointing the finger of blame in the direction of their side’s headmaster.
Despite Huijsen’s costly mistake, Real’s fans have taken aim at José Mourinho for everything from his setup to tactics and substitutions on Sunday evening:
