For all practical purposes, the clash last night closed Real Madrid’s goal-scoring campaign at the ongoing

. The final is indeed yet to be played, but Marc Cucurella is the only

player in action and is not a likely candidate to find the back of the net.

It is now the highest goal tally ever recorded by players of a single club at the prestigious event, and by some distance. Notably, three players primarily contributed to reaching that number.

The Frenchman aside, however, neither of the other two players had a good season for
