Senne Lammens cut short his holiday to return early to pre-season training with Manchester United ahead of the new campaign.
The goalkeeper had been due to report back to Carrington next Monday following his participation in the World Cup with Belgium, according to ESPN.
Lammens had been part of the Belgium squad that reached the quarter-finals, before falling to a 2-1 defeat by eventual winners Spain.
The 24-year-old had been Belgium's second choice goalkeeper behind established No1 Thibaut Courtois.
Lammens was called into action in the quarter-final after Courtois sustained an injury, with the Real Madrid shot stopper forced to be substituted.
Lammens was ultimately at fault for Spain's winning goal, with the goalkeeper spilling a shot from distance into the path of Mikel Merino, who scored on the rebound to send Spain into the last four.

Lammens was expected to report back next week after his World Cup involvement with Belgium
New signing Youri Tielemans was also pictured at Carrington after joining from Aston Villa
Lammens was pictured arriving at Carrington on Thursday, four days before he was due to report back to United.
The goalkeeper arrived alongside his international team-mate Youri Tielemans, who signed for United from Aston Villa in a £35million move earlier this month.
ESPN reported that Lammens has been keen to get back to club football following the World Cup.
Lammens had enjoyed a superb debut season at Man United after signing from Royal Antwerp in an £18.2m move last September.
After joining in a deadline day move, Lammens made his United debut in October in a 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Lammens remained an ever present in goal for the remainder of the season, with the goalkeeper playing a key role in helping the Red Devils qualify for the Champions League.
He was voted as the Premier League's transfer of the season in May following an online poll of fans.
Lammens made his international debut for Belgium last November, with his impressive form for United contributing to him being named in their World Cup squad.
United are next in pre-season action on Saturday when Michael Carrick's side face Atletico Madrid in Stockholm.
