Mohamed Salah will join Besiktas after calling time on his legendary
Liverpool
career, it has been claimed.
The 34-year-old confirmed back in March that the 2025-26 campaign
would be his final one at Anfield
and speculation over his next move has been rife in recent weeks. Salah has had interest from all around the globe including some long-term suitors in Saudi Arabia — but it now seems as though Salah will be staying in Europe.
Foot Mercato, via
GFFN
, claim that Salah will be heading to Turkey after agreeing terms on a one-year deal with Besiktas.
The agreement, worth around €10million (£8.5m) plus a further €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses, includes an option to extend the arrangement by an additional year.
Besiktas would like the deal wrapped early next week with Salah's World Cup commitments with Egypt now at an end. It's hoped the attacker will undergo a medical and sign officially in the coming days.
Claims that Salah has given a move to Besiktas the green light comes just hours after the star's agent, Ramy Abass, took to social media to update fans on his future.
He wrote in a post on X: "We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season but we may know very soon [smiling face emoji]."

If Salah does finalise a switch to Besiktas, he will link up with
Leandro Trossard
as part of the Turkish outfit's new-look attack.
Trossard completed a transfer from
Arsenal
to Turkey earlier this week with the
Premier League
champions poised to replace him with
Christos Tzolis.
