The Cleveland Cavaliers have a long history with players who’ve made a career racking up steals. Among the franchise leaders for steals is none other than homegrown franchise legend LeBron James.

LeBron James
– 1,376 steals
Born in Akron, Ohio, James was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the hometown Cavaliers. James spent the first seven seasons of his career in Cleveland, before returning for a second stint in 2014 for four more seasons.
Throughout his 11-year Cavaliers career, James averaged 1.6 spg. During the Cavaliers’ 2016 championship run, James averaged 1.4 spg during the regular season. James made the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times and the All-Defensive Second Team in 2014.

Mark Price
– 734 steals
While Price was known for his sharp-shooting abilities, he was able to pick up 1.3 spg during his nine years in Cleveland. The season in which he averaged the most steals came in the 1990-91 season, when he averaged 2.6 spg.

Foots Walker
– 722 steals
Clarence “Foots” Walker was selected in the third round of the 1974 NBA Draft. He played six seasons with the Cavaliers, averaging 1.7 spg.
During the 1978-79 season, he averaged a career-best 2.4 spg.

Craig Ehlo
– 661 steals
Ehlo was selected in the third round of the 1983 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets.
He joined the Cavaliers during the 1986-87 season, where he spent seven years.
Ehlo averaged 3.5 spg. His best steals season with the Cavaliers was the 1989-90 season, where he averaged 1.6 spg. Ehlo’s career would span 14 seasons in the NBA.

Terrell Brandon
– 621 steals
Brandon was selected with the No. 11 overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He would make the All-Rookie team after a strong first season. He’d also make two All-Star teams as a member of the Cavaliers.
During his six seasons in Cleveland, he’d average 1.4 spg. His best steals season as a Cavalier was the 1996-97 season, where he’d average 1.8 spg.
