Tottenham could use a versatile full-back like him, and Williams has impressed in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest. There is no doubt that he is good enough to play for a bigger club, and a move to Tottenham could’ve been exciting for him.
However, he is a key player for Nottingham Forest, and they will not be able to replace him properly at this stage of the window. It is no surprise that they have ruled out any potential departure.
Tottenham might have to wait until the end of the season in order to sign him. It will be interesting to see if they decide to return for Williams next summer.
They have been very active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in multiple quality signings across the pitch. They had a disappointing season last year, and they were fighting for survival in the Premier League. A club of their stature should be doing well in the domestic competitions and pushing for a place in the UEFA Champions League.
They have brought in several quality players, and it remains to be seen whether Roberto De Zerbi can help them bounce back strongly this season.
Williams must continue to impress

Meanwhile, Williams will look to focus on his football with Nottingham Forest and help them do well this season. If he continues to impress in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest, there is no doubt that he might be able to secure a bigger move in future.
The 25-year-old has been a reliable performer in the top-flight, and he is still relatively young. He will have plenty of chances to compete at the highest level in future.
