Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United in a development that once seemed improbable, given the way he left his boyhood club.
Ruben Amorim forced Rashford to leave in January of last year after dropping him from his first team plans. A few months later, the Englishman secured a dream move to Barcelona.
Despite a prolific loan spell, Barcelona have yet to trigger a clause to sign him permanently. However, the Blaugrana remain in the frame.
What Marcus Rashford is doing in Manchester United training
At the moment, Marcus Rashford has rejoined the Manchester United squad and is reportedly raising eyebrows with his work at Carrington.
According to the Daily Mail, Rashford has left United officials “seriously impressed”.
Insiders at United’s training ground allegedly say that Rashford has “fully embraced what could be viewed as a tricky situation and has been working relentlessly in sessions.”
Despite interest from several clubs, the 28-year-old is expected to remain at Old Trafford.
It is understood that Michael Carrick held a lengthy discussion with the left winger ahead of his return to the club from Barcelona.

Rashford has allegedly also taken a keen interest in helping United’s younger players, particularly JJ Gabriel, the 15-year-old academy winger.
Furthermore, the England international has also reportedly spent time with Shea Lacey and national teammate Kobbie Mainoo.
“It’s clear to see that he is making a conscious effort to make the right second impression,” one observer noted.
The electric forward is known to be close with Youri Tielemans, who shared the dressing room with him at Aston Villa. In a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand, Tielemans described Rashford as amazing.
United headed into the summer window with the aim to strengthen their left flank. INEOS have so far failed to bring in a new attacker, but Rashford could prove to be like a new signing under the club’s new permanent boss.
