Elland Road will see 20 former
Leeds United
players return next season, with receptions likely to vary in a stadium that rarely hides its feelings.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, ex-Whites are due back with
Brentford
,
Crystal Palace
Manchester United
, Tottenham and Coventry. Bournemouth, Arsenal and newly-promoted Hull City also visit.
Jaidon Anthony visits with
on August 30. He spent 2023/24 on loan at Leeds, then produced eight goals and two assists for
Burnley
last season before a move worth about £20m.
Eddie Nketiah and
arrive on September 19. His 2019/20 loan was cut short after limited minutes, and he left Arsenal for Palace in a £30m deal last summer, where regular football has remained elusive.
Karl Darlow, now at
, returns on October 17 after becoming the first player in 22 years to swap Leeds for Manchester on a free. He was first-choice last season, and it was understood he could not be guaranteed the same status going forward.
Tottenham visit on November 7 with
Djed Spence
and
Archie Gray
. Spence’s 2023/24 loan ended early under Daniel Farke, yet he has since revived his
Spurs
career and earned an England World Cup call-up. Academy graduate Gray joined in a £40m move in 2024 and is still developing, with first-team minutes limited.
Coventry City come on November 28 with
Matt Grimes
, who played seven Championship games on loan in 2016/17 and captained Coventry to promotion last season.
