World Cup earnings revealed: Milan best in Serie A, Man City first overall

Milan were Serie A’s biggest earners from the
World Cup
, with the
Rossoneri
also breaking into the top 10 clubs worldwide.
FIFA grants approximately €215m through the Club Benefits Programme, to be shared among the sides whose players were involved in the
. Serie A clubs will get circa €13m.
The sum for each club depends on the number of players called up and how far they progressed in the tournament.
The gap between Serie A, Premier League and La Liga is substantial, as English clubs will get circa €40m, while Spanish clubs will earn €18m.
Milan
will earn almost €2m thanks to their ten players at the
, who combined for 456 days in the competition. France stars
Mike Maignan
and
Adrien Rabiot
accounted for €240,000 each for the
.

Milan rank among the top 10 highest earners at the Club
, with
Manchester City
leading the way on around €4m.
Atalanta are the second-highest-earning Serie A club, with €1.4m. The
Nerazzurri
had eight players involved in the competition, but only Charles De Ketelaere went beyond the Round of 16.
Inter make the top three with their captain Lautaro Martinez reaching the final. The
will receive €1.3m, with €240,000 coming solely from Lautaro. That’s the highest sum that a club can earn for a single footballer.
Como will get the same for Nico Paz, bringing the total to €580,000 with Martin Baturina and Assane Diao.
Juventus rank fourth and, rather surprisingly, Bologna make the top five.
Outside of Serie A, the highest earners are
, Barcelona (€3.3m) and Arsenal (€3.2m).
