Mesut Özil was one of the Premier League's best-ever German players during his eight years at Arsenal.

The creative playmaker scored 33 goals and made 54 assists at Arsenal, cementing his title as the top-performing German player in the Premier League when it comes to goal involvements.

However, in-form Brighton star Pascal Groß is closing in on Özil's record after scoring a first-half penalty against Brentford on Sunday.

With that strike, Groß drew level with Özil on 87 goal involvements in the Premier League.

Surely it's only a matter of time before Groß takes the crown.
