LAS VEGAS –
A prolific scoring performance from second-round pick Meleek Thomas fueled the Cleveland Cavaliers to
a 90-73 victory
over the Miami Heat in
2026 NBA Summer League
action at The Pavilion on Monday night.
Thomas
shot a blistering 14-for-23 from the floor – including 5-for-9 from behind the arc – on his way to a game-high 35 points. Thomas also adding three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Cleveland dominated the Heat in the paint by a 50-38 scoring margin.
The Cavaliers emerged from the first quarter holding a slim 21-20 lead, but the Cavaliers’ 26-16 advantage in the second sent them into halftime with a seemingly commanding 11-point edge.
While the Heat managed to put a five-point dent in their deficit during the third, the Cavs’ 8-0 run over the first 2:51 of the final period helped set up the double-digit victory.

Jaxson Robinson
was a distant second for the Cavaliers behind Thomas with 13 points, complementing them with six rebounds. Malaki Branham compiled 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Tre Donaldson
paced the Heat with 22 points on the strength of 10-for-18 shooting from the field, adding four rebounds and three assists. Jahmir Young finished with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
J’Vonne Hadley and Nate Kingz produced 10 points apiece while pulling down five and three rebounds, respectively.
Rookie second-round pick Ryan Conwell sat out due to a hip injury.
The Cavaliers are back in action Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans (

), while the Heat face the Toronto Raptors on Thursday (
9 ET, ESPN 2
).
