Coventry sign Stephen Mfuni on loan

Coventry City have signed Manchester City defender Stephen Mfuni on a season-long loan as Frank Lampard continues to strengthen his squad following promotion to the Premier League.
The 18-year-old can operate as a left-sided centre-back or left-back and will provide competition for the full-back positions at the Sky Blues.
Mfuni made his senior debut for Manchester City last season, coming off the bench in their 10-1 FA Cup victory over Exeter City. He subsequently joined Watford on loan, making eight Championship appearances during the second half of the campaign.
He becomes the 11th signing of Lampard’s tenure and will now look to gain further first-team experience in the top flight.
Coventry have endured a difficult start to life back in the Premier League, losing their opening two matches against Arsenal and Hull City.
