Everton bid for Folarin Balogun with Beto close to exit
Everton have reportedly bid for AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun as a replacement for outgoing striker Beto.
Beto is currently on his way to complete his £15.4 million move to Fiorentina after three seasons with the Toffees in which he scored 25 goals in 113 games for the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton are now negotiating with Monaco for former Arsenal man Balogun. The 25-year-old American was the centre of attention at the 2026 World Cup when his suspension was controversially overturned after he scored and was later sent off in the knock-out tie against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Last season, Balogun played 43 times for Monaco in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and making four assists.
