Hull City near agreement with Roma for Robinio Vaz

Hull City are reportedly close to finalising a deal with AS Roma for the signing of Robinio Vaz (19), according to reports from The Athletic.

The move is expected to take the form of a one-season loan for a fee of €2m, with a €30m buy-out clause. The remaining details to finalise the deal are understood to be under negotiation between the various parties.

Having come through the youth academy at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard before joining Olympique de Marseille, where he made his professional debut and played 22 matches (four goals, three assists), Vaz signed for AS Roma last January for a transfer fee of €22m.

Having made 14 appearances for the Giallorossi, the Mantes-la-Jolie native proved decisive on three occasions, scoring one goal and providing two assists. At the age of 19, Vaz has also represented France’s Under-20s team.

By signing the young striker, the Tigers are set to welcome their 11th signing of the summer transfer window, having returned to the Premier League this season.
