Hello and welcome to today's live blog, where we will bring you the latest on the guilty verdict for Man City on breaches of Premier League financial rules.

It's now been over a week since news of the verdict first broke. A few days later, the Premier League confirmed that the club had been found guilty on 114 of the 115 charges.

In their statement, the Premier League confirmed that the independent panel had found that City had arranged 'sham' sponsorships to artificially inflate their income by just under £900million. It's something City deny, with the club hitting back at the verdict and claiming they have 'irrefutable evidence' which will prove their innocence.

City have since confirmed that they have put in an appeal against the verdict. A separate independent panel will hear that case, with the timeline set for within 12 weeks.

If the appeal is unsuccessful, then City could face a huge punishment, which could potentially see them expelled from the Premier League. Other possible sanctions include points deductions, transfer embargos and huge fines.

Following his goal for the USA, manager Mauricio Pochettino has outlined why Man City should be excited about signing Cavan Sullivan.

With the Premier League making a comeback after the international break in less than a week, eyes will be on Man City to see how the team copes with the increased scrutiny.

Enzo Maresca's side have a 100 per cent win record so far.

Here's their next games on their fixture list up until the November international break...

Manchester City have been given a glimpse of the future with teenager Cavan Sullivan making history for the US men's side.

The 17-year-old is set to join City from Philadelphia Union next season. But he is already making waves.

He was handed his first start for the USA by Mauricio Pochettino and became the nation's youngest-ever scorer when he scored the team's second goal in a 3-0 win over Mexico.

The City players part of the England squad have been handed a boost from the latest comments made by Three Lions' boss Thomas Tuchel.

Ahead of the 7-0 away rout against Croatia, a game which saw both Marc Guehi and Elliot Anderson in the starting XI, Tuchel confirmed that he would never rule out selecting players not playing in the top divisions.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has said he 'feels bad' for Man City after they were found guilty of breaches of financial rules.

Villa are one of the clubs that have been hamstrung by the regulations over the last few seasons as they try to compete at the top of the Premier League. But, despite that, he has still expressed sympathy for the City team, who may be tarnished.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Villa boss said:

Alan Shearer has said that it's imperative that the situation with Man City gets sorted as soon as possible, with it 'damaging' to the game.

Manchester City's appeal against the guilty verdict may have been dealt a blow, due to past comments made by main sponsors Etihad Airways during a separate investigation in 2015.

Late last week, it was confirmed that City had lodged an appeal against the verdict as they fight to clear their name.

A basis of their appeal is that the 'sham' deals were paid by the Abu Shabi government and not the club owners, something which is allowed under Premier League rules.

However, it has since emerged that Etihad have already told the United States Department of Commerce, Transportation, and State in 2015 that reports of government sponsorships were 'false'.

Two potential punishments for Man City have reportedly been proposed by Premier League clubs, who are split on whether City should be expelled from the Premier League.

City being expelled from the Premier League would need 15 clubs to vote in favour. Other potential punishments are transfer embargos, points deductions and fines.
