The Premier League kicks off in less than a month, and Virgin Media is dangling a major freebie ahead of the action. In time for the opening weekend on 22 August, the provider is handing sports enthusiasts a complimentary LG smart TV valued at £249.99.

The offer won't be around for long, though, and must be snapped up by 11.59pm on Wednesday (29 July). It's up for grabs when customers sign up to one of four Virgin TV and broadband packages crammed with hundreds of channels, films, sport and fibre broadband.

That said, the one likely to catch the eye of football supporters is the £56.99 Sport bundle , which delivers nine Sky Sports channels including Main Event and Premier League. With this, subscribers can lap up comprehensive coverage of the 2026/27 season, with Sky poised to screen at least 215 matches throughout the campaign.

Beyond countless hours of sporting entertainment, the package also delivers over 200 TV channels, a complimentary Netflix subscription and 362Mbps fibre broadband.

New customers securing the offer by the Wednesday cut-off can pick between a free 43" LG Ultra HD smart TV worth £249.99 or £125 bill credit..

There's a catch, mind, as Virgin has confirmed the monthly cost will rise to £60.99 from April 2027 and £64.99 from April 2028. For those wanting additional perks with their Virgin package, there's also the option to bundle both films and sport with the £66.99 Sports + Cinema deal, which combines the best of both with Sky Sports and Sky Cinema , plus 516Mbps broadband.

For all the added extras, Virgin's £78.99 Max Volt bundle encompasses more than 240 channels featuring both Sky Sports and Sky Cinema, plus Netflix and 'blazing-fast' 1,130Mbps broadband. Subscribers will also receive an unlimited O2 SIM which includes data roaming across 75 destinations, along with an O2 Extra such as Disney+ or Prime Video for six months..

It's worth pointing out that cheaper sports packages are available elsewhere, though they also come with fewer benefits. Sky's £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle likewise includes full Premier League coverage alongside complimentary HBO Max, Netflix and Disney+ access..

However, there's no fibre broadband or free LG TV thrown in here. Over at EE, customers can snap up the Full Works and Full Fibre 74 for £65.99 per month, delivering Sky Sports and TNT Sports together with NOW Entertainment, NOW Cinema and HBO Max..
